Key Responsibilities

As a Data & Platform Engineer with the UIP team, you will:

  • Architect, design, develop, and support mission-critical data platform services with complete ownership and accountability.
  • Build self-service, metadata-driven data pipelines that streamline ingestion from diverse data sources into a secure, multi-cloud platform.
  • Collaborate with product management and customer teams to capture requirements and deliver scalable, adaptable, and maintainable solutions.
  • Design and implement robust data solutions for ingestion, processing, quality, discovery, and governance.
  • Champion service ownership, implementing automation, monitoring, and alerting to reduce operational overhead.
  • Develop frameworks and reusable tools to simplify recurring data engineering tasks, drive consistency, and support seamless migrations.
  • Integrate advanced data quality services, enabling analysts and engineers to continuously monitor and enforce data standards.
  • Build Salesforce-integrated applications to monitor and manage the complete data lifecycle from a unified interface.
  • Establish CI/CD processes for deploying platform services across AWS, GCP, and other cloud environments.
  • Maintain and optimize key components of the UIP tech stack, including Airflow, Spark, Trino, Iceberg, and Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to troubleshoot and resolve platform-related software issues.
  • Design multi-cloud optimized pipelines and orchestration frameworks for high performance and scalability.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong foundation in distributed systems, big data frameworks, and cloud technologies.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala, Go).
  • Hands-on experience with data processing frameworks like Spark and orchestration tools like Airflow.
  • Understanding of data lake architectures and technologies (e.g., Iceberg, Delta Lake).
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud services (AWS, GCP).
  • Experience with metadata management, data governance, and data quality frameworks is a plus.
