NTT DATA is looking for an Associate AI Engineer to join our growing AI and Innovation team. This is an entry-level role designed for individuals eager to build expertise in AI adoption, machine learning evaluation, and data-driven solution delivery. You will work closely with experienced AI professionals, gaining exposure to cutting-edge AI platforms, model evaluation techniques, and enterprise integration strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and support the evaluation, testing, and benchmarking of AI vendor solutions against enterprise requirements.
  • Assist in proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives by performing hands-on testing of AI tools and documenting results.
  • Apply structured evaluation methodologies to assess AI models for accuracy, scalability, compliance, and integration potential.
  • Support the preparation of reports, comparisons, and recommendations for leadership to guide AI adoption strategies.
  • Analyze vendor claims, model outputs, and benchmark results to provide actionable insights.
  • Learn to create and execute test cases and scenarios for different AI use cases to ensure comprehensive evaluation coverage.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline AI solution testing and reduce delivery bottlenecks.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, best practices, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., EU AI Act) affecting AI implementation.
  • Prepare technical and business-friendly summaries of evaluation results for stakeholders.

Required Knowledge & Attributes

  • Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts including machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and generative AI.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to compare different solutions and identify key strengths/weaknesses.
  • Familiarity with enterprise IT environments and how AI solutions integrate with them.
  • Clear communication skills to present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Qualifications & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Programming knowledge in Python, R, or other languages used for AI prototyping and testing.
  • Relevant AI/ML certifications and/or Agile certifications are a plus.

Experience Requirements

  • Entry-level exposure to AI/ML, data science, or technology evaluation through academic, research, or industry projects.
  • Familiarity with model evaluation techniques, algorithm benchmarking, and unstructured data analytics.
  • Experience with AI platforms or vendor tools is an advantage.
  • Ability to create technical reports, visualizations, and documentation to communicate findings.
