Roles and Responsibilities

• Work on live research projects in IBM Research India labs under expert mentorship
• Apply advanced AI/ML techniques to solve industry-relevant problems
• Develop, test, and optimize algorithms using large-scale datasets
• Gain exposure to Generative AI, Foundation Models, and Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Explore risks and ethical considerations in AI deployments, including model safety and reliability
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers in an agile, innovation-driven environment

Required Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or related technical fields

Required Technical & Professional Expertise

• Strong programming skills in Python with experience in NumPy, Pandas
• Excellent knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Problem Solving
• Solid foundation in Linear Algebra, Probability, and Statistics
• Hands-on experience with VS Code, Jupyter Notebooks, and Git
• Understanding of AI/ML fundamentals – supervised/unsupervised learning, classification, regression, neural networks, clustering
• Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other AI libraries/frameworks
• Knowledge of Deep Learning, Foundation Models, and Generative AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, crew.ai)
• Proficiency in handling large datasets and unstructured data processing
• Exposure to Watsonx.ai or similar AI platforms
• Awareness of challenges and risks in AI deployments

Preferred Technical & Professional Expertise

• Experience with Containerization tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift
• Advanced skills in deep learning, data manipulation, and analysis at scale
• Strong understanding of modern AI frameworks and tools.
