What You’ll Be Doing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain applications using GOSU programming language and Guidewire Cloud technology
  • Design and code integration components including plug-ins, messaging, and business rules leveraging Guidewire APIs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (onshore and offshore) to deliver solutions
  • Provide accurate work estimations and assist in solution design analysis and prototyping
  • Ensure adherence to SDLC processes, coding standards, and documentation practices
  • Conduct unit testing to maintain high-quality deliverables before system testing
  • Support defect resolution during various testing phases
  • Provide technical oversight for problem determination, resolution, and root cause analysis
  • Actively contribute to Application Support & Maintenance activities
  • Identify and propose process improvements for efficiency and scalability

What You Will Bring

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong coding experience in XML and GOSU (Guidewire scripting language)
  • Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, C#, C, or C++
  • Hands-on experience with React.js and Node.js
  • Proficiency in modern IDEs such as Eclipse or RAD
  • Strong understanding of database concepts (SQL/MySQL)
  • Experience integrating Python components with Web APIs
  • Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming principles
  • Familiarity with Guidewire Policy Center and Billing Center
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or related field

Desired Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of data structures and formats (JSON, XML, CSV)
  • Experience building financial calculation components
  • Familiarity with security API interfaces (JWT, HMAC, SSO)
  • Exposure to JIRA, Agile methodology, and source code management tools (Git, SVN, TFS)
  • Understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure)
  • Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and Agile SDLC practices
  • Ability to work constructively in a team environment and adapt quickly in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Experience in geographically distributed teams is an advantage
  • A passion for learning and adopting new technologies.
